Bioliquids

Bioliquids are defined in Directive 2009/28/EC as liquid fuels for energy purposes other than transport, including electricity and/or heat, produced from biomass.

They can be sustainable if they meet the environmental sustainability criteria set out in the Directive and in the relevant national legal provisions. Bioliquids are generally vegetable oils obtained from the pressing of oil seeds and oil plants (Pure Vegetable Oil – PVO), in their raw or refined state, for use as an alternative to conventional fuels in power plants for the production of electricity and/or heat.

2GEeS has gained significant experience in the operation and maintenance of (sustainable) bioliquid plants, particularly PVO and diesel-fuelled systems. As well as providing design, installation, maintenance and fault analysis services, it can also perform any fulfilments necessary or beneficial to the plant's operation, including standard management administrative procedures. It can also liaise with competent bodies and operators locally and nationally (Customs Agency, G.S.E., ARPA, Municipalities, Regions, TERNA, E-distribution, etc.).
